I already know she'll do a much better version than me but we don't know when she'll be back so if you'd like at least a decent translation I could give it a try

laia92 I finished up Yoake no Yumeoibito for you and am working on the next one . I am very bad with trying to put together a translation from song lyrics, so without Kit to doublecheck my translating, these are kinda just rough drafts, but I made it so the lyrics made more sense in English and they hopefully sound nice enough. Although whenever Kit gets back I'd highly recommend you just use her translations since she has more experience with lyrics since they're way harder for me than just translating regular dialogue and text. 夜明けの夢追い人 / Yoake no Yumeoibito / The Dawn of the Dream SeekerAs you set forth towards the wind, gently close the door, Wipe the fog from the window and secretly make your departure, Go without saying anything to me, as for this love of mine, My love will close its teary eyes and pretend to be sleeping. Shining splendorous like all of you, the Dawn of the Dream Seeker, As for my home, from time to time, I will turn back. To the distant eye, this face always looked frightened, If the bliss of summer has ended, then this will surely be goodbye, One day I noticed the distant voices of the young men, They called out that their lives had not been fulfilled, The burning courage did not go without suffering losses, It was a refreshing kindness, If you see me, then, look toward tomorrow. Becoming a blur within the wind, the Dawn of the Dream Seeker, As for my home, I will wait forever. Japanese text in case anyone else wants to have fun with it

Oh my, it's a very beautiful lyrics! Thank you very much, Bebop! But I don't understant how it fits with GNG... Maybe it's Fuji singing her sadness because Gin is gone?

Oh my, it's a very beautiful lyrics! Thank you very much, Bebop! But I don't understant how it fits with GNG... Maybe it's Fuji singing her sadness because Gin is gone? That's actually exactly what I was thinking when it mentions how someone is watching another person wanting to run and join the "wind" or the Dawn of the Dream Seekers (which is Ouu, I believe) and how the person doesn't show their sadness when the other person leaves. I thought how the person leaving closing the door and wiping away the fog from the window to see what's outside is like Gin entering his new life as an Ouu dog instead of a bear hound with Fuji and Daisuke and Gohei. That's what I was guessing anyway. I think the second paragraph is maybe Gin realizing how the other men around him aren't fulfilling their lives without realizing more to life than just 'the burning courage' but that line was really tricky for me. Basically it was saying that someone heard all the men around them calling out as a sort of warning that their lives were not satisfied, but without the 'burning courage' which literally was written as 'the hotness / the burning', they couldn't achieve what they wanted without suffering and losing friends along the way. The 'refreshing kindness' I think is realizing that they're not all just soldiers, they're friends and brothers-in-arms who are fighting for each other. I think the mention of going back home only from time to time is Gin still having a connection to his roots as a bear hound, but he is now a part of the Dream Seekers' Dawn. At least that's what I'm guessing I tried to keep in some context so it made more sense

I think in this way it fits perfectly! Just one thing... when the lyric says "yoake no yumeoibito", I don't think it's referring to Ohu's army, but to Gin. Because, if "to" in Japanese is like "'s" in English, then that line means "Dawn's dream seeker". So, Gin is the one that is chasing his dream at the dawn. I think.

That's not what the 'to' is though, it's 'bito (人) to signify that there is a person who is pursuing or chasing a dream, not the particle と. When the singer is directing the speech, they are saying that "anatara あなたら" are the ones who are shining gloriously like the Dream Seeker(s). あなたら is the general 'you' to refer to several people, not one person. The second paragraph when singing about the Dream Seeker(s) is the person who ran away (Gin) only using themselves to describe it and not several other people. So I think it starts out that Ouu are the Dream Seekers and Gin in the second paragraph has joined them, if that makes sense. Music lyrics are incredibly weird

...sorry, forget what I wrote. I was meaning "no", not "to". Anyway, you're definetely more expert than me! No worries! I find it really difficult to explain since Japanese can also be very vague with particles, since 'no' can be possessive and describe a verb or adjective, all depending how it's presented. Luckily Kit will be able to translate it way better than me and maybe help with the confusion

I'll wait for her version! Anyway, you did a grat job with Yoake, so thanks very much to you too! For Kokoro no Kiba, I tried to translate it to myself, but there are some sentences that are soo difficult. For example: 生きてるけるのなら In Google Tanslate's opinion, "keru" is a non-existent word ._.

Yes, I'm happy to translate these, since I couldn't find their lyrics, before. Please give your friend my thanks! As for the line, it is likely either a typo or maybe referencing 蹴る. I will have to check it out, based on context, when I'm properly translating it.

laia92 Okay, my version of Yoake no Yumeoibito is up, since it sounded like you wanted that one most. I had to fix some of the lyrics, since they didn't make much sense in some places and then when I listened to the song, I think I figured out what they were. So hopefully that's squared away, but this was a rusty job, so I'm just hoping it's still up to snuff and there are no glaring mistakes... I had to break up a lot of sentences with obviously Japanese grammar, so I also hope that doesn't look too weird. Also I know how I translated the title is different from the lyrics. The title is more accurate, but I just could not make it sound right, in the lyrics. Will work on Kokoro no Kiba, soon.

Simply beautiful. Thank you, Kit. Now I understand it better. So, Fuji is the only one who sing this song. Not Fuji and Gin as I thought, right? It's Fuji who is saying farewall to her son.
