This link will give you a .zip file. If a link is dead or broken, please let us know here so we can fix it immediately. Thank you! Uploaded on November 24th, 2015.
This includes all five chapters! -- Consider the 112-page giant chapter a Thanksgiving present to Ginga Scans and everyone who has made our little site possible. A special thanks to Kausza and Ace for splitting the chapter with me, Kit for translating 112 pages without losing all of her sanity, all of the Ginga staff for their additional help with other projects and the site to keep the other stories ready to go sooner than expected, and of course all of our members for helping us get this far, to the end of the Akakabuto arc! You all are amazing and I can't believe how much progress we've all made with Ginga Scans! In other news, we almost never edit official illustrations in the manga, but I fixed Gin's eyes on page 256 because... well... here's the official placement of them. Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone, eat plenty of turkey, potatoes, whatever you like to eat with your loved ones, and stay safe during Black Friday. I'm thankful to all of you for being a part of our site

Previous Chapters LogChapter 1So much manliness...I love it. I always put on Final battle OST from the GNG anime while reading I honestly have nothing much to say about this chapter... In my opinion, Hyena's plight makes me sad, though, because in the Gingaverse the only way to be "brave" or "manly" is to pretty much be suicidal. If you have a fear of dying, you are labeled a coward, and not seen in a good light until you have your weird epiphany about how it's totes okay if you die. It's just something that's always irked me, and this particular scene drives it home. But I do like his loyalty to Ben, so I digress. I will say that I'm not sure why it's saying he was heartless and never cried, though, because he was clearly shown crying and grieving for Terry... I guess Yoshi forgot. Poor Jinnai, too... Apparently Kirikaze is literally the only person who cares about him. Akame didn't spare him a second thought, LOL. I do think that it's hilarious how Ben points out nothing Sniper does makes any sense, and the bigger bear problem is kinda not gonna go away if he keeps trying to kill the ones stopping it. Thank you so much for a new chapter с: And, as I see, Akame show his emotions. In the anime he was like an unfeeling log. Also I started to like Hyena after his brave action. I know that he tried to save Ben in the anime too but they cut this scene. Hyena is more important character in manga, I think. Thank you so much GS team, for another great chapter! Well, first of all, Ginga needed more characters like Hyena. Someone who isn't entirely good or evil, but stays in a grey zone. After seeing him in the manga, I'm starting to like him a lot more. It almost looks like he's the only one who cares about his life, and I would have liked to see more of it in other characters. Jut to make them more interesting. I always put on Final battle OST from the GNG anime while reading You, my friend, know how to enjoy life. I honestly have nothing much to say about this chapter... I will say that I'm not sure why it's saying he was heartless and never cried, though, because he was clearly shown crying and grieving for Terry... I guess Yoshi forgot. Well... Yes, the whole "I'm a man therefore I will die happily" thing is overused. What bothers me the most is that every character says the exact same thing, there is little different from one another. O.o Also, does this make the bears real men to? They always stand their ground. Poor Jinnai, too... Apparently Kirikaze is literally the only person who cares about him. Akame didn't spare him a second thought, LOL. Yup, noticed that too. Jinnai is still agonizing in Madara's mouth, and Akame only cares about Kirikaze. Or maybe he's only waiting to devour his soul to prolong his life. Whatb I feel, is that Akame just lost Jinnai, and saw how Kirikaze lost it and rushed to death. Reason he showed more for Kirikaze is for both Jinnai and Kirikaze. My thought. @bucciamarcia That would be kinda cool, if the bears were all giving the same manly speeches as the dogs. Ginga Densetsu Akakabuto. Make it happen, Yoshi. I'm so sorry not sorry.I can't wait for volume 7! This series is just too amazing. Thank you so much for your feedback and joining our site! Can we all just take a second to appreciate how Yoshi pretty much spoils his own chapters? This is the second time the title of a chapter has been "Ben Dies" and the fact that he adds a question mark at the end pretty much says, "Ben doesn't really die, but I'm going to tell you he does so it's a surprise even though I questioned it." Yeah he seems to have a problem with that. :/ Always spoiling things through the chapter titles. So I'm a little confused... Has chapter 38 been translated yet? It says you guys are working on chapter 39 right now but I don't see 38 anywhere. So I'm a little confused... Has chapter 38 been translated yet? It needs a lot of editing as well, if I recall. Also, thank you! Get a life, Sniper, sheesh. 'Akakabuto isn't the ruler of Ou!' Go say that to him, then. I feel sorry for Hyena, too, he wasn't so bad after the Kouga arc. :c Haha, poor Jinnai, Akame doesn't give a shit about you. I'm surprised he's even capable of crying real tears for Kirikaze. Chapter 2Wow, that's a huge chapter! :megustabishieplz: Thank you SO much for the translation to all the staff and you, Kausza . First of all, after reading a few TLW chapters, finally I'm seeing some good art! An artist is supposed to improve his style throughout his career, Yoshi... And why didn't the Iga dogs bring a sicke BEFORE the battle? "Oh yeah, I'm in the middle of a battle, if only I'd brought a weapon!" Although Riki's decision to attack Akakabuto alone, and Gin's "let's charge into an ambush" mentality aren't brilliant strategic decisions either. I'm curious to read next chapter, as Sniper's (apparent) death wasn't covered at all in the anime. Also: C'mon, Gin. @bucciamarcia , scumbag Gin is a scumbag. Thanks Kausza for your hard work D: goddamnit Yoshio Aside from that, when Kirikaze says Jinnai gets lonely.... My feels! @bucciamarcia I laughed at that panel too. Telling them he had a plan would've worked just as well, instead of coming off as a pretentious brat. This one, however...I love it even more. It's like he's saying "Tch, I don't care, just die, then." Ninja dog pride doesn't keep people's hearts beating, evidently. Overall, I liked the chapter, and find funny how dogs and bears can't understand each other, but know each other's names. A mystery of the Ginga series will - hopefully - be explained soon, and that is, how in the world did Ben get in that damn shed? Especially knowing what he was doing beforehand."Moss, we're dying! Why haven't the suicide corps been doing their job for like 2 incredibly long chapters?!" "Quit complaining." Love it. Kirikaze's death makes me wish he and Jinnai had more screen time, because that was like the saddest death speech I've ever heard from Yoshi, imo. And the part about Jinnai being lonely... Poor Jinnai, though. Kirikaze was literally the only one who acknowledged his existence, even at the end, lol. @bucciamarcia I honestly tried so hard to find a way to make that come across better, but that's literally what he says, LOL. And I agree that Riki going in alone confuses me. Like... what did he raise the army for, then? If he was confident he could take Akakabuto down himself, he wouldn't have bothered, and just snuck in, earlier. He didn't seem to have planned for Akakabuto having backup either, which seems very unlike him. I also really like Bem's line about wanting to die surrounded by his own followers. I dunno, it just stuck out to me. He may be fighting with this army as comrades, but in the end, he knows his own people best, and they're subsequently most precious to him. M-92 Mantis Oops, we forgot to make pages 88-89 a double page. And the "The stronghold" text on 109. (I apologize for not catching these, earlier.) M-92 Mantis Oops, we forgot to make pages 88-89 a double page. And the "The stronghold" text on 109. (I apologize for not catching these, earlier.) ^ This. Overall, it was a really good chapter. Although Kirikaze didn't have any developed personality, I agree it was a sad and moving speech he did at the end. Even more so, considering he was one of the very few remaining Iga dogs. And his last comment shows how close he was with Jinnai. Back to Riki, even in the manga it looks like he wanted to use the whole army only as a decoy. Which would make sense, if he wasn't up against a huge demigod-like bear. As for Bem's comment, I'm actually surprised he's the only one to state it... I mean, everyone should want to die among friends instead of strangers. I also really like Bem's line about wanting to die surrounded by his own followers. I dunno, it just stuck out to me. He may be fighting with this army as comrades, but in the end, he knows his own people best, and they're subsequently most precious to him. I completely forgot Bem's line as well! But yes, it did very much stick out to me as well. Overall, I think the chapter had its logistic ups and downs, such as Ben's magical appearance in the shed and Moss' comment, but it also had really memorable scenes and lines. Kit If you were planning to wrestle a gigantor bear, wouldn't you want as many people as possible to see how amazing and manly you are? That's obviously what Riki was doing, he just went " I want an army! ..... of witnesses. Go look for as many dogs as you can for my army! .... of witnesses." No one just heard him muttering under his breath. Madara is like on those annoying video game bosses that just refuse to die no matter how many times you've beat their health bar down. Kirikaze and Jinnai should've had more time to shine, but... they didn't. It's a shame. Oh, and I like how Ben just went "Oh Gin, are you alone?" Like Ben, buddy, can't you hear all the commotion outside? You are supposed to be going blind not deaf, man. On page 116 in the right bubble, "A new" is repeated. I'm really liking this series so far. Aww, 'Jinnai gets lonely.' ;-; Well played, Yoshi. 'FOLLOW ME WITHOUT QUESTION AT ALL RIGHT NOW YES I AM GIN THE WONDER CHILD.' I can totally see where some people dislike Gin. Chapter 3
I like Benizakura and I think he's a badass, but something tells me as the strongest dog in Japan, he should've been able to escape. 乃ĿŌŌƉȲ₭ȲŌŪƧĦĪṜŌ , come on, even Superman has his kryptonite? I don't practically mind that he is stuck in the rope... again, if he had cut it, Mosa would have escaped. Whoo, new GNG chapter! I had to stop my homework to read it. Look at you guys, causing me to prioritize spinning anime dogs. But anyways here's my take on the chapter: Benizakura's death always makes a lil' bit sad. Recruiting him was done late in the series, and I find his character to be quite interesting. So we don't actually get a lot of time to get to know him better. Still, as a 10 yr old gramps he is a total classy kickass. I do have an issue with his argument to Moss though. He states that Moss is the only one who could get Gin out from under the collapsed shack. This is obviously not true, as he could have helped Gin out, and had Moss bring Mosa down (I think Moss could potentially do it, not as easily as Benizakura though.) He just seemed... really eager to die. I can understand him wanting to set an example, but he didn't need to willingly walk into his death to do it. Also, side-note how did he know there was a log at the bottom of the lake? He dragged Mosa down with the intention of drowning, but what was he actually planning on doing? If there hadn't been a log there he would have had to hold Mosa down. And considering his lungs are considerably smaller he likely would have died, and Mosa could have potentially resurfaced. Likely exhausted and easily brought down sure, but still kicking. Plus assuming that once he saw the log and came up with the plan, and it had played out perfectly then he would have given that dramatic speech for nothing, as he would have resurfaced alive. I mean it's Yoshi so that was never a possibility, but I'm just sayin'. Still it's a good chapter, Benizakura was a soldier deserving of Riki's tears. As a bonus I saw this panel and my mind immediately went places: Gin: Akame, it's not what it looks like! I swear I don't have a bonding fetish! The cover image of this chapter... It looks like the pasted Gin in there with MS Paint. I still think that the cherry blossom thing is cheesy, but damn, Benizakura IS amazing. That's why I consider him the strongest dog in GNG. The battle against Akakabuto would have been very different, if only Moss hadn't been that careless. Too bad his character, like many others, wasn't very developed. But the little we see sets him apart from the generic GNG dog. He is more... Classy. And I thought Ben's sudden appearance was explained in the manga? Was I wrong? And I thought Ben's sudden appearance was explained in the manga? Was I wrong? No, it's not explained. (Very mild spoiler.) Not until GDW, strangely enough. At least Yoshi kept plot consistency, for once. Where can I find chapter 1 and 2 for volume 7? Where can I find chapter 1 and 2 for volume 7? Chapter 4
First of all, as always, THANK YOU Rascal and Kit! Oh wow, this was a really short chapter! At least for GNG standards. The most notable part was Smith's confession! I really didn't expect it. Not because it isn't in the anime, but because I didn't think Smith wasn't the type. Although true, she's the only female in Ohu, so there isn't much choice. That was cute! And what's with the sudden "I won't bring a woman to battle"? Isn't she, uh, a soldier? Didn't they clearly state she was allowed to be in the Ohu army at the beginning of the series? It's understandable if he'd said something about her having pups and protecting them, but this sounds inconsistent and silly. Finally, I'm actually glad to see more of Gohei. In the anime he just popped in right out of nowhere, while the manga is setting the stage. I'd love to see his reaction when he sees that the dogs have formed an army that's fighting Akakabuto, assuming there will be a reaction. It is so odd we don't get the Harpoon Bear's story in this chapter :S but oh well, then Yoshi wouldn't be able to make a +100 pages chapter for us to translate and typeset.... Personally, I don't mind Smith's comment about not bringing a woman into battle; if he really loves her, he would want to keep her safe, and I kinda assume that it is implied that he won't because she has just given birth. Personally, I don't mind Smith's comment about not bringing a woman into battle; if he really loves her, he would want to keep her safe, and I kinda assume that it is implied that he won't because she has just given birth. That's what bothers me, actually. Smith had SO many good reasons to protect Cross. He could have mentioned the pups. Or even better, like you said, he wanted to sacrifice himself to protect the one he loved. That would be awesome to see, and a perfect follow up to the previous scene. Instead, I don't see the reason why Yoshi decided to use the "because you are a woman", when it wasn't even an issue at the beginning of the series. This could have easily been one of the most romantic scenes of GNG! EDIT: this is the first time EVER I actually wanted some (albeit short) romance in any movie/series/comic/book/whatever. I'm speechless. Thank you for the chapter. ^^ @bucciamarcia , you actually make a good point. Like Ace, I didn't really mind, since I assumed it was a "traditional samurai!" mode activating, or because she had kids now or something, but considering he's never mentioned it before and has no elaboration now, it's a bit odd. Oh well, it's Yoshi... Either way, it's great to see poor, under-appreciated Smith get some spotlight. He kinda has been pushed to the background for a long time, now, and this little insight into him makes me like him, even more. To know that he's loved Cross all this time but has completely stepped back knowing that she's happy with Ben is a sign that he really cares about her and respects her feelings. Even when he confessed, knowing she was married, it didn't really feel like a disrespectful thing - he just wanted to say it before he died, and still followed up by wishing her happiness, with Ben. Oh yes... I suppose this new bear is a thing, too... Yes... Tora , you're very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it! I feel bad though because even this serious bit of character development is turned into a joke in the end. I mean it is sort of funny that Smith never gets to be "cool", but at the same time I feel disheartened as a reader :/ Smith is a good character, he's noble, considerate etc. but just seems to get shoved off by all the other characters... they hold him back or rush in to save him, but other characters they let loose to be manly. That last part might not actually be true, I'd have to go back and look at all the chapters, but it's the feeling you get. Wow, short chapter. Harpoon bear is always cool, and Smith's confession to Cross is sweet, except for him saying she can't fight cuz of her vajay. 8|

I really like harpoon bear's story. He's a bit scarier than Akakabuto. Am I alone in preferring when we don't know what the bears are saying? Akakabuto is more menacing when he's just roaring. Poor Ben takes SO damn much abuse, but he keeps going. ;-; Lollll, Gin and Riki sure have a LOT of time to talk as they fly through the air towards Akakabuto. What a weird place for the volume to end... I'd expect it to end with Akakabuto's death so the next could start the wolf arc. Anyway, great work as always, guys! I agree on the harpoon bear's story, even if it was completely pointless since he instantly dies in the same chapter. I guess Wilson really wanted the opportunity to tell scary ghost stories in the middle of a battle. Also yeah, I don't know if it's because we are using the third edition of GNG, but ending on one of the very last chapters of the arc seems really weird. Ryan I know! As an avid GDW fan, I'm totally stoked!

Thank you guys! As always, you are amazing. So here we are, finally, the final battle. After watching the anime so many times, I'm happy to read the manga and see all the differences. Everything looks very similar so far, except the bears are talking here (a bit). So harpoon bear's plan really was to overthrow Akakabuto, now it makes a lot more sense! It's a part I could never understand in the anime. Ben is strong. I mean, REALLY strong. I didn't remember him being so good in combat, he deserves much more credit than I initially gave him. And Akatora... I liked you, kai dog!

As for Akatora, I am also sad he died, since red is one of my favorite colors.
