Yeah, this has deterred me from wanting to buy one. If they can receive these from the factory and still say "Yeah, this is totally acceptable to sell" then I'm not going to bother. People shouldn't have to pay $40 and worry if their plush is going to come in horribly deformed or not.
I just hope people who receive deformed plushies get their money back and things get straightened out.

Hello~ The producer of plushies here. At first, thank you for the feedback you have written. I have had copy of few things you have mentioned and used them as reference for future. I would like to comment few things here as there seems to be lot of negativity now. Most of problems seems to be from the fact that my comments are only translated partially and comments of the plush owners haven't been translated. The comments are in public so I will link the original page where pictures were send and commented. Anttu has said that she is perfectly happy about the plush and doesn't want new one. She actually said that "You can never have Weederp back" when I asked about plush after she published the photos. (I have her permission to publish this comment.) Limppu owner of the second plush was dissapointed, but (if you read further) I asked her/him to contact our customer service if she/he wanted to change the plush. In here I also mentioned that plushies look different as even small changes in fabric can cause very different emotion. If you wish to take a look at other plushies, there is lot of pictures posted by me or owners of the plushies here. Also, thing I mentioned: these two are only under 1% of plushies that I have send. I think that's pretty good error percent. One important things too is that lot of people want "original" looking plushie: there was one Weed that was really squished in box and looked totally beaten up, but people loved it and few wanted to have that plush simply because it looked unique. And one more personal thing: I know it's rather easy to think PurePlastic only as faceless big company, but it's still run by me and I'm huge Ginga-fan. My goal was and is to produced good quality and affordable merchandise for Ginga-fans. This is first time I have ever produced items so there is lot of new stuff for me so I hope you would give bit mercy on me when commenting. Your feedback has been bit harsh at times, but it also has been very helpful and I hope you will write more feedback in future too.

It looks like shoddy sewing and stuffing. If it was just a packing issue the plushies would eventually "return to normal" as long as the stuffing wasn't compacted too much. However the Weed in the photo looks like they sewed the muzzle on either crooked or the fabric was too tight. Disappointing to say the least, I was interested in buying one. I totally agree with this, that isn't the face of a plushie that was squished among others but a plushie that was badly made, it doesn't get deformed that way for being in a small box filled with other plushies..and in case, like you said, they should return somehow back to normality after they're not so compressed one with another in the box... Of course not all plushies are identical but this is quite the difference between the photos they've shown us in the FB page and on the website...it's not fair :c

Your feedback has been bit harsh at times, but it also has been very helpful and I hope you will write more feedback in future too. Hey there, Uru, and welcome! I will fully admit and apologize for my harshness, that I will gladly take back since you're being a good sport about this My main worry was for people who do not want the squished Weeds (I mean the rare cases we've seen, not the average Weed plushie). If people are happy, I'm totally cool with that, I think it's cool already that you're even doing all of this and making Ginga plushies people can afford and not have to save up for the Japanese ones. A personal concern of mine was for international shipping. In example, I live in America, so with your 2 week return policy, by the time it ships to me, would I be able to get a refund? Honestly that is my only concern, I was going under the assumption international people might be stuck with a Weed they didn't like the shape of. I don't see the same issue with Hougen (I want like a million of him anyway so this works out well for me lol), do you know if it's because of the difference in the head shaping? He seems to have a sturdier head and neck so I was wondering why it seems to only affect the Weeds sometimes. If this is also your first time making these, that changes things a lot, so kudos! I just want to know what to expect since the display images and finished images seem to be very different in comparison and if people will have a way of returning, basically, if they live outside of Finland Edit: Now that we can get answers and understand Uru's policy, please be respectful and not salty, friends, since she is being courteous back to us

Like I said in the chat, this is why I didn't want to comment on the quality of the plushies before seeing the two I ordered, especially since PurePlastic didn't even have time to explain the situation.
It's not a big news that people on the internet LOVE to complain, even when there's nothing to complain about. I never trust random people complaining on some forums or Facebook groups. Spreading and speculating on rumors doesn't help anyone, because clearly these guys are doing their best.

Thank you for the explanation, Uru! I guess it was normal that we all overreacted by seeing those Derpy Weeds, we expected something based on the promotional pics but if you say that it was just the 1% of the plushies sent to be that way, I suppose you're right. I suppose we were all worried about our own ones that we've ordere :'D

No, people who weren't even sure if there was a return policy didn't know if they would want to invest the money into a product they might not be fully happy with. If people wanted more than one plushie, that's a chunk of change for most of us, and I wouldn't spend a lot on several items I wasn't 100% sure of. People gave actual reasons for their concern. If they were complaining about the width of the toes or or the ears being too triangular or something silly like that, I'd agree, but people have a right to give feedback, no matter how negative, at a product. I only asked that people not be flat out rude and insulting, but because Uru is now here we are able to communicate and she is looking into international return policies. I want people to show respect to her but I don't want them to just stop voicing concern about a product they may buy. People can buy the plushies if they want to or not. Seeing something that concerns them on if they should buy it does not instantly mean we were all roasting the plushies because we got tired of complaining about Ginga Densetsu Akame.

As I said, I understand the reaction. Also, feedback on this is very important. There are things that I can't change (like the color of Weed's fur), but in this kind of situation, I can do some sort of work to fix it.* And if there is something really wrong with items, it's important to tell now as I can keep it in mind for future and file complaint to the factory where the plushies were made.
+ I also need feedback on materials, charaters that I choose etc. For example: the scars. Lot of people haven't liked them here, but honestly: I don't have any better method. We tried three other colors (black + two different reds), but they didn't work. We considered making them embroided, but the fabric is so soft that it would bend the whole plush (as the eyes are doing now with Weederp). Only way I could make embroidery work would be changing the material of plush, but it would mean that Kyoshiro and others would be made same fabric as Hougen. And then they wouldn't be fluffy anymore. So if someone has some idea for this, I'm more than happy hear it. I might be able to use it in future.
So if you have any ideas, feedback (positive or negative) please tell about it, but just be a polite. Honestly, feedback usually makes me want to try harder and do better work.
*And about this actually:
As Urumi and Ginga.fi don't ship internationally (except Sweden, Denmark and South Korea) I contacted the Futago Shop that do ship them internationally and I made deal with them (I asume most of you bought plushies from there):
Before shipping items FS's owner will send picture (1-2, I think) of plush to the buyer so the person can check the quality. If you don't like it, you can ask for new one and FS will send the failed ones back to me.
BUT this will slow down shipping. It might take few days for FS's owner to take pictures and it will take 3-5 days (or longer as items are shipped in bulk) for items to arrive at Sweden so please keep this in mind. Also in future I will probably take pictures and send them to FS to be check before shipping them so if the orders happen in rush time (like at Christmas) it will be lot slower as I have to do regular order first and do special orders after them.
If you have asked your friend to ship plushies, you can ask them to check them too before shipping.
(In Finland returning/changing items is easier and cheaper so there is no need to make same kind of system here.)

Now this is a very nice thing to do I think that it's better to wait a little longer to get their plushie checked and eventually changed, instead of getting a "blind box" being disappointed once it arrives!

I for one love the scar detail, I need these so badly. uruis there any chance your site will have a Swedish language version? I have Swedish friends but we don't feel very secure navigating through the Finnish site.

I have Swedish friends but we don't feel very secure navigating through the Finnish site. I get why you asked about a Swedish one, since it's another Scandinavian language, but I think an English version of the site would be the best so everyone could understand everything easily. I'd recommend translating at least the most essential, general information about the plushies, payments, return policies, shipments, quality checking etc. I think it would clear up some of the confusion, and would be beneficial for everyone in the long run! I would also like it more if I was able to navigate your website and read it in English
