Are there wounds on Hougen's shoulder? They don't even look like scars. Why?

Are there wounds on Hougen's shoulder? They don't even look like scars. Why? Yeah he has two scars on his shoulder/neck and two on his left cheek, but I don't see the cheek ones. I can't really tell what they look like at all but they might not've wanted to make it look like those tacky raised felt scars most plushies do with eyes/paws/markings, but I dunno |

I am torn.
Part of me wants them because I would love some real merchandise.
The other part of me thinks they are uglier then sin and I hate their dead fish eye stare.
But I'll probably buy them anyway.

At least for me, Hougen looks even better than Weed :'D But he has a crazy look in his eyes O__O I wouldn't want him in my bed...think about waking up with this crazy plushie staring at you!  |

 I'm not gonna be a pain and complain all the time, but something about Hougen looks more like a Pit Bull  , I think only because he's shorter than Weed with his ears and doesn't have giraffe neck. His eyes are manic, which is good... but it's almost TOO good . He'd be scary to wake up to in the middle of the night Unlike the Japanese ones, they seem to have different bases, too! I like that way better, it means there'll be slight differences in each character. Weed is all soft and cuddly and Hougen's just all intense with his eyes and different head shape and everything. I think even if I'm not gonna be 100% with all the characters, they have a lot of effort put into them, so huge kudos to the makers, I really do like the look of these

That's some real effort the Finnish put into it. That's why I absolutely love Weed's design. Now please make Gin and Riki! I'm hopeless, I know. |

Those Hougen eyes maaan.... I would be terrified to wake up with it.
I'm really curious to see which characters they release... I'm slightly hoping for perhaps another villain plushie, but I just really want Kagetora.. or Ken to be frank.

I think Hougen looks good. I agree that he looks kinda Pit Bull-ish because he is lacking the giraffe neck, but maybe this is just puppy Hougen. I like the eyes, they suit him and really make the plush look like him, and I rrrrrrreally like the scars. The color on them is very nice. M-92 Mantis If you look closely at his cheek, I think it looks like he could have scars there too but they just won't show up from this angle. |

That is a nice Hougen. Love the eyes and the way they did the scars. Also yeah, I agree that you could probably creep somebody out with that plushie. If we're taking guesses at the other six I'm thinking that one of them will be Tesshin since he's such a popular character and as I recall wasn't one of the original Japanese plushies. Another one I was thinking may be Cross or another notable female character (Reika? Lydia?) since a lot of people talk about the female characters not getting enough attention so this could be a good opportunity if they take advantage of it. As for the other four... probably a shepherd (John or Jerome), Akame or Kyoushiro (I doubt they'd do both since they look similar), GB (or Sasuke lol), and... probably Riki, even though I don't think we really need another akita if we already have Weed... personally I think Hiro could be cool, or one of the huskies (Hakuro or Kisaragi) because yes I'm predictable. ...Although I've still left out some others that people would probably really want like Ken and Kagetora. Curious to see which ones they will choose in the end. I'd just like to at least see some more diversity instead of just a bunch of akitas (especially since these plushies seem to have much more personality than the Japanese ones that mostly all looked really similar to each other). |

If there is a Reika or even a Koyuki plushie, I will give these people my money. But I highly doubt they'd sell well since most of the fandom still hate the female characters automatically. Reika's adorable so I'd automatically get her AND one for Kit. Good god can you imagine people actually being able to BUY Ginga merchandise for their friends without having to sell off their car and the deed to their house?! I think the choice in which plushies they make still depends on their affiliation with Yoshi's marketing, so they might not be able to make a lot of characters that weren't considered as 'popular' or something. GDW merchandise and art books seem to consider the very basic cast and the random side-characters in the beginning episodes as popular, since they would get colored pictures, profiles, and even figurines. So they might start out with the basics (Sasuke, GB, Hook, Mel, Jerome, Ken, Kage, ...) in the order of the manga. At least that's what I THOUGHT they would do, but seeing Hougen as the second of the selection makes me excited that they're gonna just go for who they know people will buy. |
