Huh... Well. It's better than the other Tesshin ones and I like the mohawk, but something in the eyes just puts me off about that plushie.

Huh... Well. It's better than the other Tesshin ones and I like the mohawk, but something in the eyes just puts me off about that plushie. Yeah, I really can't place what it is but the eyes just looked awkward to me at first glance too. I really like this plushie otherwise though. Maybe it's just something about the way that they did the eyelids. Also it sounds like the pre-orders for Mel and Tesshin will be beginning on May 16 (so a week from now)... wow, that was quick.  |

I'm on the fence about these plushies. They are much, much better than the originals and I appreciate the (apparent) quality of their products. Hougen's grey muzzle end for example is true to his design and looks really nice. Subtle things like that bring it together very nicely. I especially appreciate the embroidered eyes, even if most of them are a little jarring (and make the characters look really spacey); felt and plastic eyes look cheap in comparison and don't last very long.
Hougen and Weed are the least offensive, personally. I didn't like them much at first but I think they're growing on me. Hougen is a bit of a bobble head, and his eyes take some getting used to. Weed is pretty cute though, even though he looks like he's tripping. just a little
I really dislike both Mel and Tesshin because of their eyes. If they had only put one shiny in Mel's eyes I think it would have been fine. And Tesshin is just ugly, no offense to anyone who likes his design. I think they were trying to go for his halfway headballs/eyebrow things but it just makes him look stoned and out of place with the others. I do appreciate his facial markings.
