Wait, what was the inconsistency? I don't remember noticing that The Kirbeard™. Also, how long is this supposed to happen after Akakabuto? Because Ben developed his mind's eye in record time. |

@bucciamarcia I was referring to how one moment Gin knew and identified what the eclipse was but then five seconds later he was saying he had no idea what was happening.

In Japanese manga, Gin just said that the sun was wanishing. It's just traslating error to him to say the sun was eclipsing. The Japanese word used was 欠けていく (kaketeiku) which is "to wane" or "go missing" and is used to describe eclipses, hence the translation. It may not have been the best choice, but it wasn't an error.  |

Thanks for all the hard work scan team. I've always been curious about the wolf arc, and I don't dislike the magic aspect, but I agree with some other posters that it does seem to just show up randomly. Knowing why the wolf arc exists gives it reason, but the way it's done is rather (not sure if this is the best word) forward.
I am enjoying the fights so far, with Gin having to work through the mist, and Kurotora using his skills from when he was young to defeat Hyakkiga. Ben having no irises is delightfully creepy.

Good chapter, I got an e-mail notification that there was a new post on GS, and I was like: "it couldn't be... could it?" I don't think I fanboy'd this hard in a long time. I like the chapter, I also am starting to think that Retsuga is a pretty chill dude. At least as chill as one vengeful magical wolf can be. I laughed a bit too hard at the 'comparing Kurotora to a frog' bit though. Especially when the text felt the need to clarify that Kurotora is in fact not a frog. Thanks for that GNG - I never could have figured that out on my own. A big thanks to you guys for translating that huge-ass chapter! You guys are awesome. |
