What's your favorite Arc and why?

I know GDW is the season with the most arcs in the manga, but the first one had the ...recruiting arc? then fighting the bears... and then the wolf arc. Then GDW with the monster arc, hougen arc, monkey arc, russian dog arc, and hybrid arc. Annddd... I guess GDWO just counts as one big arc huh? LOL;; Not sure but I'll add it to the poll anyways.

Personally, I think my favorites are the recruiting arc in GNG and GDWO (so far). To me, the recruiting arc felt like a big adventure and I felt really immersed my first time watching it. Whenever I rewatch it, I can feel the same feeling again ; and GDWO has a completely new feeling in my opinion. Seeing the babies' adventures and most of the main cast gone, it was nice having to bond with new background characters like Izou.

Honestly I like the Monkey Arc the best. I love Yukimura, too. After being with dogs for so long, it was nice to have another animal species as an enemy. (Discounting bears of course...)) The monkeys were almost human like and could do different things to dogs so it made them a completely different enemy to face.

I personally love the first GNG arc, when they travel around Japan meeting new packs... in the rest of the series, "new" packs look all the same to me. Either based of descendance of an old pack leader or something that look like an existing pack. x)

I'd like Recruitment Arc more if so many of the subplots were not based on misunderstanding and miscommunication, but I like the idea a lot. I like the Wolf Arc in terms of enemy fights and because Gin isn't invincible for once. Monster arc had the most sympathetic villain, P4 did nothing wrong and I rooted for him.

But the one that left me the most impression so far is the Monkey arc.

I like the recruitment arc the best, the sort of "gotta catch 'em all" feel of it is fun. The problem with it is just that it's so short, so it doesn't necessarily introduce characters well enough and some are just mentioned as being recruited by others. I would've liked to see others recruiting beside just Gin.
