I bet Kouga females knit comfty sweaters for the winter and whatnot. I wonder why Yoshi chose Kai-Ken, when, honestly, I see little Kai in them. No stripes, which I see as the trademark of the Kai. The only thing that's similar, I guess, is their hotblood personality. |

 [sarcasm]That just totally screams Kouga to me[/sarcasm]  Kai Ken aren't always brindle, it's common for them to be solid blacks and browns, too (lots of Kai are also solid white). If Yoshi is going by research, Kai were a lot taller in ancient times because they first started out hunting deer. When they went to boar and bear, they needed smaller legs to be able to manuever around a bigger animal and confuse it to avoid a fatal blow. The markings and mohawk on the Kouga themselves look nothing like Kai did or would, but again, you never know with Yoshi. I'm guessing he means the Kouga started out as a strain of Kai that, when isolated by the Kouga Clan, became its own dog through the centuries. |
