This link will give you a .zip file. If a link is dead or broken, please let us know here so we can fix it immediately. Thank you! Uploaded to Ginga Scans on October 30th, 2015.-- This was done entirely by Arano in scanning, cleaning and typesetting, and translated by Kit . All credit goes to them, as this was not a Ginga Scans project. I haven't modified or included anything with the shared download besides the title so that it can be compatible with our server, where I included it so it has a permanent place to share to our members here. Please enjoy!

I just have to say that this was an excellent read. The artwork is amazing. The story is simple yet very touching. Overall this is a great work. Thanks to Arano and Kit for translating and sharing.

Thank you As Baz said, it was an interesting read, and it was nice to see dogs drawn by someone other than Yoshi. Also, I found the story about Kichi quite touching. It was interesting to see someone treat that subject. But should we take the ending as Aka being given over to the war effort?

But should we take the ending as Aka being given over to the war effort? I think it's implying that Aka sacrificed himself to it, not that anyone gave him up. Japan's breeds almost went completely extinct at this time because they would be taken for their pelts, for the soldiers to wear. But I'm guessing that Aka felt he was old and wanted to be reunited with his owner, so he sacrificed himself. At least that's the impression I got.

I was a little unsure... A part of me also wondered if the grandson gave him up. It's a little ambiguous to me, which is quite an interesting strategy.

The setting was great and Kikujirou was a real touching character, so I wish this had been a lot longer story! Huge thanks to Arano and Kit!

Well Kit was right most of the dogs at Japan was almost extinct because of either for soldiers or being eaten. Thankfully some of the residents hid their pets and some of them survived. Anyway to the story... the story was really interesting. It was like reading the summary of the Akakabuto arc in a chapter. The drawing of the dog and the bear were somehow close to realistic. Its cool though. Sometimes when one been playing a fool then there's some story in them. Great job for translating this work!
