This link will give you a .zip file. If a link is dead or broken, please let us know here so we can fix it immediately. Thank you! Uploaded on September 21st, 2016.-- We have completely redone Ginga Densetsu Riki, which means new scans, new cleaning, new translation, and new typesetting, thanks to our staff for their help and to our members for their feedback. We felt since GDR was our very first project next to BnF, and with new staff to help us, we finally gave this short little series a makeover with our latest quality and translating. Included in a separate folder are the first edition color pages and cover of GDR. These have also been translated. Seeing the huge change in our work and quality was only possible thanks to the community here for their appreciation, feedback, and wanting to join our staff to help share the materials we needed to redo this series. Hope you enjoy!

CHAPTER LOGSChapter 1It's great to see GDR get such an upgrade! It looks stunning Also, thanks a ton for translating the first ed. pictures I had no idea you would do that! Sadly for you, I'll keep even the old one. I even kept the oldest one from GS. I really like to see how much better things been translated. ^^;; Anyway, I love that you retranslate this. ^^ Sadly for you, I'll keep even the old one. I even kept the oldest one from GS. I really like to see how much better things been translated. ^^;; Anyway, I love that you retranslate this. ^^ I guess I could live with that , I do appreciate people liking to see how much we've improved. I myself will just try and forget about the old ones I guess I could live with that , I do appreciate people liking to see how much we've improved. I myself will just try and forget about the old ones Haha, I know how you feel. FINALLY this is happening. My old translations were so disgusting, oh my god. Am I the only one who thinks keeping the decomposing body of your old leader where the current leaders live is creepy...? Like I get what it's trying to do with that, but all I can think about is how nasty and creepy it would be in real life, which in turn makes it feel disrespectful to Riki. But that's just me... It's always just bugged me so much. Seeing Riki look so adorably microscopic next to his siblings almost makes up for it, though. I wish I had more to say about this chapter, but overall it's just setup. Seeing Shiro looking beautiful with the screentone and lack of headballs makes me start crying at his official "colors" on the re-print all over again, though. I'll also force myself not to complain about Riki's re-design in this manga.I guess I could live with that , I do appreciate people liking to see how much we've improved. I myself will just try and forget about the old ones I actually like these newer ones you're doing. The older ones were sometimes hard to read, and I questions some of the translations. So I appreciate that you are doing this. I actually like these newer ones you're doing. The older ones were sometimes hard to read, and I questions some of the translations. So I appreciate that you are doing this. Yeah they're all the way from 2012, when it was literally just me and Kit. I swear the floating text I put in the old one that covered entire pages has given me some form of PTSD. I'm glad you like the new one, though! I can't wait to give this little story a proper makeover I certainly didn't expect this, but everything looks so nice. I hardly even remember the old ones, maybe I'll have to go back a read them. Yay! I've been waiting for... I no longer remember! Thank you for redoing the series ^^ I'll download the chapter when I wake up tomorrow :DD *Jumps around happily* Thank you so, so much for this update! The effort you're putting into making quality scans is unbelievable. A huge praise for the quality of everything! This is also the perfect opportunity to re-read GDR, since I don't remember it very well (because my memory sucks, not because it's been a long time). It's a nice story after all, and it talks about my favorite character! Although seeing Riki's corpse on that rock... It gives me the chills. Not cool. Chapter 2Well that was fast........ as usual I love this lecture on how boys don't cry or let others see their tears, when Ginga dudes cry all the time around each other. They do it like a faucet, where it's there one panel and gone the next, but still... ALL the time. So it's also a bit interesting that Yamabuki herself didn't cry during a separation, between that and the whole "it's hard for mothers" thing. It seemed a little... anticlimactic? Considering this is based around Riki wanting to see his mom, at least, she didn't seem to care all that much. Instead we just got this: :lookofshock: The rivalry for dramatic faces begins... Well, I can guess Yamabuki has gone threw seperation with her pups before. And now she was back with her real owner, she knew Riki would be at a good home. She had learned to not show anything during the seperations I guess. She knew it would happen. Just took longer with Riki, that's all. Something I've always pondered is if Yoshi intentionally made the boss dog's eyes different sizes. Something I've always pondered is if Yoshi intentionally made the boss dog's eyes different sizes. I just assumed one eye was damaged without a scar, but now that you mention it I'm really paying attention to it, and now it's much more hilarious and less hardcore. Tora You make a good point, and I think that's what Yoshi was going for. It just seemed a little odd after the plot was building up to this dramatic separation against their wills, that she'd just say "goodbye" in an almost detached way. Why would the wild dogs attack Riki? I know they said he was a trespasser in their territory, but that's kind of like seeing (if he's a five-month old) a little boy, six years, maybe - wandering around, with no parents, and thinking it's a good idea to kill him, or at least beat him up. I mean, maybe Yoshi was trying to say that they were wild dogs and wild dogs are killers (as well as dogs being territorial) but attacking a puppy who may or may not have just gotten lost, not to mention by accident, just seems a bit... much. However, I don't know if wild dogs really do attack stranger dogs, regardless of them being puppies. I just thought that the dramatic age and size difference would make a dog just chase Riki away, maybe nip at him. I've never seen a feral dog before though, so I couldn't say much about their behaviors. Just that they carry disease and are standoffish towards people and maybe sometimes pets. Or it could just be Yoshi and his antagonists. Or me thinking too much. Either way, this next chapter was out pretty quickly! You're doing a very good job so far, the images are very neat and clear, and the dialogue flows well. The only other thing I have to say is about Yamabuki - I know I'm beating a dead horse, but it seems a bit emotionally abusive to tell your son not to cry because it's a bad thing to do. From what I understand, telling a child to repress their feelings, especially about loved ones, leads to depression and an incapability to express themselves in front of their peers and other people. It can lead to self-loathing, and holding back emotions can be damaging. Here's a link to a semi-useful page. I swear I have no kids, i'm dead serious. Childfree and happy, but the site was relevant, despite it being a parenting site (no flashy colours, I promise!) ...Okay, now I know I'm overthinking it. Despite that, it was actually kind of fun to do this. (I suppose you could tell with the Cross thing a while back). However, I don't want to come across as pointing out "mistakes" that aren't even mistakes at all, and I hope I'm not coming across as holier-than-thou! I'm not trying to make a point with this, it's just that sporadic rants about headball dogs and their strange psychology gets my mouth running. If anyone can correct me if I got something wrong here with the whole "crying child" spiel, please do so! (And I'll try to shorten my posts a bit so they don't clutter, in the future.) For once Yoshi makes the female character the strong one, and the male (and manliest one) cry like a baby, being emotional and all. It's a nice change for once, much better than the opposite (Yamabuki crying and a stoic Riki saying "don't cry, woman"). And I like how Riki wasn't always the strongest, bravest, manliest dog ever existed, it makes him a more interesting character and adds depth. :lookofshock: The rivalry for dramatic faces begins... So... The genes for Gin's judging face come from his grandmother. damn, need more ! cant sleep now... PS thanks alot for your epic work ! Chapter 3I feel like some ginga fans would just like the series to end.... because then Daisuke wouldn't be part of the series to bother everyone... Can I ask, where is the adult supervision? I gotta give Yoshi credit for actually giving Shiro some personality. My criticism towards Riki in GNG is kinda that he is just the standard stoic leader archetype, but I actually really like Shiro in this chapter. He seems a little more rebellious than Riki. Chapter 4Big thanks for this chapter Heiji the Viper, huh? Kinda a cool name I don't have too much to say about this chapter, except that I like it. I'm warming up to GDR's art style. Heiji the Viper, Toube the Demon, Pepe the Snapping Turtle...Yoshi sure does love his fancy nicknames. Admittedly it is kinda cool, but now I want to go and make a thread based around the many titles the dogs have. Aww, poor Daisuke. As young he didn't have that much with wild dogs. Just as an adult. Heiji the Viper, Toube the Demon, Pepe the Snapping Turtle...Yoshi sure does love his fancy nicknames. Admittedly it is kinda cool, but now I want to go and make a thread based around the many titles the dogs have. That I would really like. ^^ Great work and thanks alot !!! Almost had a tear in my eye on this chap, somehow Riki really effect me in a weird way lol
