btw anyone else finding the dogs always getting super offended when a predator eats dogs to be hilariously hypocritical? This arc isn't the first one where they are shocked and horrified that an animal would be so cruel to eat dogs,...however, the bearhounds (from Shiro to Gin) grew up eating bear meat and Moss' pack happily ate a bear ALIVE.

When a bear eats dog it's a war crime, but dogs eating bears is normal?

Well, given their history, I wouldn't call it "hypocritical" as opposed to "payback". Besides, the bearhounds were forced to eat bear meat as part of their training and the bear that Moss' group ate was already killed by the Four Heavenly Kings.

How interesting, to think that Lydia may possibly not have the typical girly voice/speech the other main girl dogs have in the series.



Although, according to Meti, the Finnish translation used the word "parlance", which is described as a particular way people speak/use words (which may be referring to her using the pronoun "キミ/you (mostly used by guys)" in the page before this?)
but the Japanese word Jerome used was "口調" which, every time I googled about it, was describing the quality/tone of a voice or sound.

(I've been translating the Russian arc, and the way Lydia speaks is very feminine. It looks like she's getting more masculine as the series progresses. )

I'm pretty sure the bear was said to still be alive, and it was roaring while they were eating it.

I've been wanting to give an update in my progress... it's going pretty slow this round. Please forgive me D: But I'm finally doing multiple pages today, so that's a good sign!

Something I came across that's pushing me to update more than anything is this lesson/agenda this arc pushes early on (and then drops later)...


Sakura was a confirmed kishu, wasn't she? THE LEADER. HIMSELF. IS A MIXBREED. And then even if she was a white akita, HE'S MARRIED TO A KISHU! Further in, I don't even think it's addressed how Weed is mix or how he's with a different breed of dog. Just pretty annoying...
Unless they're specifically talking about mutts that's been mixed to the extreme, then I'll let it pass. If not.... wtf kind of plot point is this ;;

Yup, Sakura is confirmed as a Kishu mix. And Supreme Commander Weed is married to a purebreed Kishu. Meaning Orion and siblings are mostly Kishu then Akita. o.O
Though they are right, most officers are purebreds... Or at least looks purebred, lol.

It is true there's quite a few of them, like Akame, Gin, Ben, Kurotora, Rocket... but there's still some notable ones, like Ken, George, Weed, possibly Kagetora and his bros, Kisaragi's sons, Hiro's kids, Chutora's kids.... okay so maybe not all of these are noticeable, and the ones who are mixes are officers' kids but... I still think that'd hold some kind of ground! Especially Weed himself!
