Thoughts:
-Soooo sorry for taking long this time, owff. Been a sorta slow 2 months, but I'm glad it still only took that long >.o; I'll try working on volume 16 a lil faster, but with life stuff getting into gear, I'm not sure how consistently fast I'll be. I'll still try though!

-Kamakiri is just. so much. Overdose of evil.

-What a pressuring message Gin gave Weed. "You can't lose" ?! o__o'' sheesh.

In the middle of reading the new volume, and I have to pause. Did Weed just say he had to kill Kamakiri? Kill? What in the world. This raises so many questions for later on in the series. If it plays out similar to the anime then, what on Earth? Why is he suddenly not okay with killing?

Anyway, I liked this volume. It had everything the pretty much encompasses Ginga. There was action, manly man talk, and the continuation of the theme of never giving up. Edit: I couldn't imagine being in Weed's shoes. He's twelve or thirteen and has the weight of not only his father's life, but pretty much the lives of a nation as well.

Maybe this is one of those rare times that Weed thinks his enemy can't be rehabilitated. That's the only reason I can think of Weed considering killing Kamakiri.

I think that Weed's reason to kill here is because it would be in fair fight: both he and Kamakiri are in good shape and not wounded, and killing Kamakiri would save his friends. Weed is against killing if the opponent is clearly weaker, wounded or unwilling to fight.

The typical age and situation of most of Europe's and Japan's monarchs in middle ages.  It was already adult for them at that time (same as it would be 18 to us now).

But by dog years he's actually even younger:

3 years = 25/24 human years - fully adult
2.5 years = 20 h. y.
2 years = 18 h. y.
1.5 years = 16 h.y.
1 year = 14/13 h.y.
9 months = 12 h.y.
6 months = 10. h.y.
4 months = 7/8 h.y.
2 months = 5 h.y.
1 month = 2 h.y.
2 weeks = 1 h.y.

Well, only thing concerning timelines that does stay consistent is that Weed turns one year by the end of Hougen arc, with coming of spring. By Kyoushiro arc (witch is half of the story) that would mean he's about 6 months old. Or even less. Meaning he fought P4 at the age of 4 months, because we do know that he set out at two or three months age, judging how well he can perfectly be by himself, but still wants his mother. Plus, it's summer.

Hmm, interesting. How long time has passed in hougenarc then? If he's 6 at the start and 12 at the end? Really six months?
