To commemorate the 50th year of the Weekly Manga Goraku, there will be an event ('All-Night' as it says in Engrish) to be held on August 2nd at the Shinjuku Loft Plus One (+1) (You can find it on Google), the event starts at midnight and the curtain opening is at 12:30. Yoshihiro Takahashi is a special guest (written in Engrish) for the event, and credited as the author of Ginga Densetsu Weed and Ginga Densetsu Akame (no mention of GDW: Orion, hmmm...) and with "Dog Fight Comic! (the kanji is too small for me to read)." The text over Weed and his kids says "An All-Night Meeting of Honorable Men."There are two other guest stars being announced as well: Eiji Kazama and Tsuyoshi Yoshida . During the venue, it is mentioned that Yoshihiro Takahashi will sign autographs for people who specifically buy his manga. |

Feel free to share this with GingaBoard, everyone and anyone, since I don't think they figured out what the slip says. Anything on here aside from the actual scanlations is up for sharing anyway, but most of our posts there when we give info are ignored anyway so I didn't bother.

Yeah, it seems to be 2000 yen for a ticket in advance, and 2500 yen for a ticket you buy on arrival - which of course runs the risk of them being sold out.
I think that's it, but like Rascal said, it's not entirely clear.

Ack, Tora, I'm beyond jealous. If you end up going to the event I hope you have a really incredible time; it's not every day you get the chance to hear authors like this speak! As Hougen said, I'm pretty sure we'd all love it if you were able to share some pictures or info with us. The chances I'll ever get to go to an event like this are slim to none (stupid pacific ocean), so I'd totally appreciate whatever you decide to tell us!
Also, thank you Rascal and Kit for translating the event announcement. It's ridiculously awesome that you take the time to look it over and type everything out for us, even for just some arbitrary ad.

GDWO sure was published in Goraku, but I think GDW is just more known and such.

Yeah, and it makes sense GDA would be mentioned since it's the newest, and GDW did far better marketing-wise and is more popular than Orion

It sounds like the night went really well and the event was fun, did he talk about anything in particular you found interesting? I'm especially in awe of that signed GDWO; I haven't read a word of the series but to have it signed by the author himself is really something special, congrats! |

I did film a bit, but then got told not to. So I dunno what to do really. He was interviewded for like 40-45 minutes. Too bad I got to little battery to film/catch up much of the talking. Like less then 10 minutes in total.
