I know we already have another thread for this, but this'll be the official thread for both the original Japanese scans provided by a generous Ginga fan, and our translated version in English.

The entirety of this booklet is free to use - meaning you can share or use any images in here on any site for whatever you like. Credit is not required, but please drop a link to our website if anyone asks. Only rule is to NOT claim any part of the scanlation as your own.

• Disc 1 information on each of the five episodes (Plus: Gohei Takeda's influence to the plot and the illustrations for the series' backgrounds)
  
• Disc 2 information on each of the five episodes (Plus: Ben's endless struggle with hardships and illustrations of different characters' expressions)
  
• Disc 3 information on each of the five episodes (Plus: Benizakura's legendary strength and illustrations on standing and running animations)
• Disc 4 information on each of the six episodes (Plus: Height and size comparison charts of the main cast of dogs, humans and bears)
• Two pages on an interview with Yoshihiro Takahashi
  
• One page on an interview with the series director, Tomoharu Katsumata

In our English translations, we also included in the booklet:

• Cast and Staff Trivia - things you didn't know about the voices and artists behind the anime
  
• Trivia on facts given by Yoshi and Tomoharu in their interviews
• Coloring errors (namely, Ben's muzzle color) have been fixed by me in the English folder
• Some formatting has been changed for the English language format for easier reading.

Trivia / Misc.

Riki’s card description is literally read as “In order to defeat Akakabuto, Riki will risk everyone’s lives!” Because this sounds completely sociopathic, we had to change it up a little.

Smith's yellow description text calls him a 'Mood Maker' in Engrish (Muudo Meiikaa). A mood maker is a Japanese term to describe someone who gives off positive energy just by entering a room and helps energize and please others nearby. The English terms of an ice-breaker or a comic relief are the closest equivalent.

In an awkward writing, episode 4's description explains Gin and Daisuke's sudden uniting as two spirits as literally "two flesh becoming one / two souls becoming one." At least in English, this sort of phrasing is used to explain the Biblical holy union between a man and wife in marriage, a.k.a. sex. We had to reword it so it didn't come off as Gin and Daisuke sounding 'too' close in their bond together.

Great is listed as being a Great Dane, alongside Ben, in the body size chart. However, Yoshi himself named Great as 'unknown', but it's safe to assume the studio believed Great to be a Dane since he looks very similar to one. Bem is in the chart, standing as tall as Ben and Great, but is not listed as a Dane. Yoshi officially put him as 'unknown' as well, with a note saying he's probably part Boxer.

Goodness, thank you so much for the work on this! I can't imagine making things look as purdy as they do has been easy.
I'm loving the character cards thus far, and it's given me a chance to look up some of the voice actors for the characters. I laughed a bit more than I should've when I found out Banjou Ginga, voice of Riki, had a voice role in the Japanese dubbing of Desperate Housewives.

Riki would NOT do well on Desperate Housewives.

Question: shouldn't it be aired on, not in?
Otherwise it looks good, I imagine this was hard as hell to translate. I've never seen so many commas used for simple sentences. It just goes to show Yoshi's writing of the manga wasn't all that stellar, when these episode synopsis just sound pretty random at times.
I really like this though, I know you've been working hard on these.
Also in episode 5 it just looks like Daisuke is flying across the screen to kick that bear, lol.

Pages 9 and 10 are finally done. I am so sorry for how long these have taken - translating takes a lot of brain power for me and the typesetting for one page takes about two hours, at most. I wanted to at least finish these two pages before working on anything else since it was promised to be done soon on the news table.

I am not sure when I will have time to continue these - once we don't have as many projects due all at once I'll get back to this one and try to finish it soon for everyone to enjoy.

Klomonx and Tora, thanks for the heads up! I'll fix that issue in the pages once they're all uploaded in a completed zip folder

I thought I'd said it here, and not just to you... I MUST SHARE MY FEELINGS WITH THE WORLD! You're doing an awesome job with this! I know how difficult it is to translate stuff like this, but you're getting better and better with Japanese, by throwing yourself into this stuff! You're needing my help less and less!

Pages 11 and 12 are now up - I found a way quicker system to work through the pages and needed less help with these from Kit, though I still have her check over all of my work to make sure nothing is incorrect.

Any progress on the pages from here on still won't be added to the news table since I never know when I'll have the time to work on this, and it took so long last time that it doesn't get done enough to promise anything on the table. I can safely say that no one should hold their breath after these last two episode summary pages since it's a full-blown page of an interview with Yoshi, which will take a very, very long time to do and look over and have Kit help me with it while she also is working on way more important projects.

Pages 13 and 14 are up ! I also updated the original thread on the additional features given in the episode summaries' Points of Interest and Display sections.

A new trivia fact has been added about Great's studio breed and Bem/Bemu.

Next up are the two pages of the Yoshi interview . These will most likely take way, way longer for me to do so wish me luck!
