Edit: AUUUGH!! I just realized there are several missing songs... These are definitely all the tracks on these CDs (I saw screenshots of the backs), so where are all those other tracks coming from?!
Edit 2: I have SCOURED Google... Those other tracks are not listed ANYWHERE in Japanese... Sorry guys...
Edit 3: I have included some photos of the backs of the CD covers, that I found in an auction. They are old and damaged, but you can still clearly read the tracklists in the back. I OWN NONE OF THE PICTURES USED.
I do not have either soundtrack, myself, however that's what Google is for! If anyone DOES have them, and notices an error, please feel free to correct me!
Anyway, I think we all know that the translations the internet has given us for Ginga stuff is... rough. And sometimes lulzy (Genba = Genshin?). So I thought I'd try my hand at it, while giving people the original kanji forms, in case any of you prefer putting those into your playlist (or whatever you decide to do with these - my translations are free to spread around, though credit is always appreciated!)

08. TOMORROW
*I know this still sounds a bit clunky, but I didn't want to get too wordy, and also tried to avoid the term "dream chaser," since that is generally associated with people who go after ideals that they have little to no hope of achieving because they lack a sense of reality. Essentially, this title is giving a sense of waking up from literal dreams, to pursue aspirational dreams, come morning.
**I'm sure it's been established that "otoko" means "man," making "otoko-tachi" technically mean "men." However, I chose to translate it as "soldiers" because I thought it carried more weight in English, as well as sounding better for the intent of the series. I used the same logic with the "Subarashiki Otoko-tachi" track.
***An "uta" (詩), alternately called a "shi" is a modern version of traditional poetry, using the old style of a 5-7-5-7-7 meter, but with heavy influences from Western-style poetry forms. I used "ode" because sometimes these poems were sung in various forms (including odes).
****The kanji for "oni" (鬼) refers to a creature in Japanese mythology that is similar to an ogre, demon, or goblin, however, it can also be used to describe a person with an 'oni-like' personality, such as being fierce, persistent, or merciless. In this case - Gohei.
It should also be noted that both the "Nagareboshi Gin" and "Tomorrow" songs on the "Hits Collection" disk start with a small original dialogue excerpt by Eiko Yamada (Gin's voice actress) having Gin proclaim things about his mission. I have no clue if these are their own unlisted audio tracks on the disk, or attached to the song, but I think they are just unlisted snippets, because I'd never heard them before on Youtube (I've never downloaded the OST tracks available online) until finding someone who uploaded their physically owned soundtracks.
Keep in mind THIS IS ALL BY EAR, but his dialogue seems to be...

I'd also love to translate the lyrics to all the vocal songs, but unfortunately, even a Japanese Google search didn't reveal much, which leaves me wondering if the CDs even came with lyrics in the booklet... If anyone happens to own the "Hits Collection" soundtrack, and is willing to scan such lyrics if they do exist, I'd be happy to translate them![/a]
