With the growth of our community, we have decided that everyone is free to use our scanlation images for wikipedia images, banners, avatars, recolors, and etc. You do not have to PM myself or Kit anymore for permission, nor do you have to give credit on any graphics made with our scanlation images, although giving credit is always appreciated to help others find our site.
Our rule still stands about not sharing or allowing downloading of any kind of our scanlations anywhere else besides here, on Ginga Scans. This rule is staying because we need to keep our work from reaching manga reading sites which are harmful to any scanlation team, and we ask for our work to be commented on and given feedback here, since most of our staff and members here to not go to any other Ginga sites. Please look at our new and modified rules regarding distribution of our scanlations, here.
Stealing our translations, scanlations, and typesetting, such as copying them and pretending to have translated something yourself without credit, is still going to get you blocked by us for stealing our work. You may help share our link to other sites for people to find us and our work, but you may not post our stuff for download on other sites, ever. Please give credit where credit is due; we ask nothing in return except for the Ginga community to give a simple thank you and give our scanlations a try. It wouldn't help for people to share our work off of the site where we cannot see it.
In short, the original rule still stands: absolutely NO distributing of entire chapters or volumes of ours on another site. You may not take our scanlations and post them on another site for people to read. If you want to read our scanlations, you can read them here. If you merely want to show previews of our work, PM me and we will work out a compromise.
What about Character Gallery images? You may share these on other sites to help spread valid information to other sites to help clear up mistranslations or misconceptions with a character, but you MUST give credit for these and you MUST keep our credits in the upper corners of the image. Do NOT MODIFY THE CHARACTER GALLERY IMAGE TO YOUR LIKING - they are there for the sole purpose of giving accurate information, not head-canon and not fan theories, do NOT change them when sharing them.
Please have fun looking through our huge selection and using any manga pictures you want to color in or add to your banners! Whatever you like! Please share this thread to other Ginga sites so they may know they have a whole new free range of images to use here!
