You know you could just call it the Battouga, as most of the characters tend to call it. You're right that characters shorten it to "The Battouga," but that doesn't mean that's what's actually written on the cover. If the thing says "Zetsu Tenrou Battouga Edition," the that's what it is. I can't read it myself, but our translator didn't bother to correct it, so Sky was probably right in his assessment.
Back on topic: the only thing that really bothers me about the cover is Sniper. He kind of looks like a puppy.I know, but I was referring to the initials used. I always found it pointless to use initials unless more than 1 variations are seen/mentioned.

Not saying you're not allowed to find it weird, but if Sky wants to use an acronym, there's nothing wrong with that either.

hotdanimus Everyone knows what ZTB stands for and most of the fandom uses it. You don't have to make a post just to tell him how to do it your way. That's like saying I don't want people to call it only the Battouga because there are several Battouga types and I want everyone to be specific and call it the full title. As for the covers, I'm not really digging this lack of backgrounds, now. I liked the Tesshin cover with the soft pinks but the Kamakiri and Hiro one looked an awful lot like the Last Wars volume release, with nothing but a flat background and some characters slapped on, even if Kamakiri got some nice detail in his features. Sniper's eye is definitely not in the right spot, either, so that's why he looks off, although Weed doing the Battouga looks nice, I've always liked the detail put into the spinning motion whenever a character does it. Anyone else buying these? I got as far as Kyoushirou's but I don't know if the new editions are still at least giving people some goodies like stickers. I'll collect all of them eventually but I like to buy them in bulk.

M-92 Mantis, I'm not planning on buying them, but do the other volumes still contains goodies such as interviews or? I believe all of them so far at least have the 4-5 page interviews. They have a sticker or two every other volume, I believe either the John or Kyoushirou one has a small set, I'll have to doublecheck. I don't know how long the interviews will go on since it's possible they might be older ones that are just being added to the editions, but I dunno, I haven't ever seen his other interviews besides the GDW artbook one so I can't tell. If they are new, I can see them lasting at least halfway through the Hougen arc, but I doubt they'll get interviews from him for every future edition. Edit: Just checked; the Kyoushirou edition doesn't come with any bonuses besides the interview but the John edition comes with a new set of stickers.

hotdanimus I just normally prefer to specify since there are multiple types of Battouga, although I do realize that it's pretty much completely irrelevant in the current canon, and yes, you have a point that if somebody just says "The Battouga" then 99+% of the time they are referring to the Zetsu Tenrou Battouga. M-92 Mantis I actually just took the plunge and ordered all of them to date from CDJapan, mostly to be cautious in case the earlier ones start going out of print soon. I don't think the recent ones have any extras beyond the usual interviews, though. I can confirm once I receive them if you haven't already gotten them before I do (probably a few weeks from now). Also I have to agree about Sniper looking really awkward on this cover. Something looked really off to me too, but I couldn't really place it like you guys. I do still like spinning Weed, though.

I'm not getting the newer ones anytime soon, Sky, so you'll probably have the info first, I only have the first 6

I'm still waiting for my order from CDJapan to show up, but in the meantime for anybody who may be on the fence about ordering these like I was for a while, I just wanted to let you guys know that I noticed apparently volume 1 went out of print sometime after I made my order (after mine shipped, thankfully), so I would recommend taking the plunge if you want them to avoid having to overpay to resellers.
In other news, it sounds like the next two volumes being released are supposed to be larger than the ones released so far have been (they're listed as being 624 pages, whereas I thought up until now these have been ~400 pages). I'm not sure if that means that they're basically going to be putting the equivalent of an extra volume of the first edition in each one now, or if there's some other reason for it. It looks like they're going to be raising the price slightly because of this as well, though it's not really a big deal (it's like another 100-200 yen).
Also for reference, the title of the 12/25 release will be "闘兵衛の改心!!編" (Toube's reform edition?)

The new book came out today! 死闘! 哲心 VS. 玄婆編 - Deadly Battle! Tesshin VS. Genba Edition"I will give my life... for the people I believe in!!"I really like this cover. The art seems a bit more like earlier GDW again, and I like Tesshin and Genba's dynamic poses.

Nice one, yes. Even the background is a bit more detailed with... A night sky, I guess. I really dislike lazy uniform backgrounds. For some reason I also find Weed's expression really cute in this one.

The first cover with Tesshin... Man he has some Ken Doll action going on between those legs. I thought Yoshi was pretty comfortable talking about dog balls, drawing them not so much apparently .
The rest vary, though I enjoy his colour choices and design for the most part. Where are you guys purchasing these from anyway?

@kaiju that's something I can't stop noticing in Yoshi's art.

December issue! Finally! Okay, that cover is beautiful. I'm not a huge fan of Toubei, but I definitely don't hate him, and I appreciate the detail put into his cover. The title is 闘兵衛の改心 (Toubei's Change of Heart / Toubei's Reform / Toubei Makes Amends). The little blue text says "This spirit of mine had once been abandoned..." The big blue text says "As a man, he cannot accept defeat!!" It also means 'to fall', which fits since Toubei refused to fall down while dying.

Definitely the best cover so far, in my opinion!
