^In volume 8, Ken tells Jouji that they're going to meet Kagetora's family, with who they all used to play as puppies. I assume that Ken is speaking about Kagetora's brothers and Chuutora's sons. And Shigure is 3rd son, so he can't be the youngest. Yea. And in vol 3, puppy Ken and Jouji is shown to play with puppy Kagetora when the meet Smith again. What I wonder more, is where it was said Shigure and brothers where just a year old? As stated in comments above I mean. It was definitely in the animated series, and I remember reading it in comic (or maybe some special, as in interview, etc?) as well. |

I looked through the translated vol 3 and I think Ken says to Jouji? that they used to hang out with "Kagetora's family". The problem there is..who would fall under "family"... I didnt take a look at what the japanese one said though. The translator could have made a mistake or simplified the translation too much. |

Hmm, this is weird. I don't remember actually ever seen Chuutora's sons ages mentioned anywhere, I've always thought that they are the same age as Kagetora and his brothers. If someone finds the truth, I'd be glad.

During (or after) the war the officers just happened to meet a nice lady, spend some time, and then each go their own way. Then she probably showed up with puppies much later, when the officers themselves were already dead with Kurotora only one left. |

Where did the Kai bros even find mates this quick with the Ou army being such as sausagefest My HC is they meet some lady pet of same, or close to same, breed (well, Chutora maybe fallen for real as not close to breed with Dodo's and Buru's ears haha?). When the female have pups, she send the sons to the father, while daughters stay with mother and be pets for life. |

Until I can get to the part of Chuutora's sons' age, I have another thing to throw in that makes no sense.
In GNG, Ben and Cross has all sons. Everyoonneee calls them "sons" or cross says "my boys". In the wolf arc, they're all called sons and all trained equally to learn how to fight.
...But we all know how that changes in GDW. Just.. why? lol Why were they all boys and then in GDW, they made Minnie a girl? They couldn't make it a scaredy cat son that George failed to help?

No, because Yoshi loves making females die to advance a male's arc. It's dumb  Why couldn't they make it almost anything else. All sons, Ken is away, and George and... Min [guy] are cornered into a battle. Min holds them off and throws George away to somewhere safe, but to somewhere George can't get back to, and George has to witness his brother dying because of his own weakness. I know this would change the Reika scene to another trial to over come, of course, but at least, it'd still make none of the sons' genders have to change. |

If someone finds the truth, I'd be glad. So, I just got volume 12's translation and Kurotora goes up to Smith's body and introduces Chutora's sons to him. So this means Smith never met Chutora's sons unlike the stories Smith says about Kagetora and Ken, where he helped train them. So Chutora sons really are young, since this means Smith had to have left to look for Sakura? Orrr.... Kurotora left Gajou with Chutora after some time.... buuttt... Kagetora never mentioned leaving the Ohu army... HELP, MY BRAIN! |

I don't get why when the dogs' souls show up, some keep their wounds they had for a long time and some don't. Like Smith gets his leg back, but Benizakura keeps all his scars and missing ears. Toube gains back his eye and loses his black collar thing, but Riki keeps his collar [despite not having it when he died] and his last set of scars [despite losing his collar before these scars].

I've been thinking the exact same! Their scars are supposed to be healed. buut :  Toube does keeps his collar (and he's got just one eye), so does Terry and everyone else. also Smith is still three-legged. and Chutora STILL doesn't appear, even through someone as unimportant as Hyena and Henry III does! |

alphaYeah! I mean they're dead now, so they should be healed fully right? Poor Bemu and Kaibutsu, forever cursed to look like monsters... Or at least if you're going to show them scarred, be fully scarred. John should have a missing eye and Akatora, a missing eye, ear, and leg. ... Uhh wow so Yoshi forgot to draw his collar and eye or something LOL  As for Smith, I definitely thought there was a page where he had a leg... besides Gin's imagination, I mean. The closest of a mistake I can find is this leg stretch from one page to another  But yup...Chuutora, I'm onto you and your evil behavior! The volume I'm translating described Chuutora with a word that can mean 'daredevil', 'reckless', or 'good for nothing'...  hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
