Here's the middle scene (all these scenes play with other POVs of Ohu between them), and Sneeper tries to confess his love to Hougen, but Hougen is too tsundere. For real, though, Sniper seems more terrified of knowing Hougen doesn't believe in him than he does of the death, and when he realizes he's going to die, he truly accepts it, as long as it's what Hougen wants. I'd like to point out that in the end scene after this, when Sniper wakes up in a daze, he truly thought he had died, so he wasn't pulling his speech out of his metal ass. I think it's actually interesting to see a villain with the same 'manly death' mentality as Ohu, to die for someone you believe in, and how that somehow moves Hougen to know Sniper really thought of him in admiration because of their similarities.       |

That was actually good! I almost feel bad for Sniper, I love how he actually believes in something and is ready to die for it. Just like our beloved Ohu soldiers, except it's for another reason. But I respect Sniper for that. And Hougen having second thoughts? Priceless. He's like a entirely different character from GNG, with a lot more depth.

I really can't wait to translate the end scene, since I've waited about a year or longer to read it. Yoshi has honestly reeled me in.. but that could be because I'm biased and love Sneeper and the Hougenator. The end scene is pretty long, though (and I may just have a new *cough**cough* translating opportunity *cough**cough* depending on Kit's approval of my fluency, coming up) so it might take a few days to complete, but I wanna send it as a whole so no context is lost.  |

Very true, Hougen is a well done character because you really, really hate him. That's how the bad guy should be like. Also, I think I may have a new OTP with Yamabiko and Orion. They're so cute together~  Then this dynasty of bear dogs ends here.  Fear not, there's still hope that Sirius and Rigel will turn out right. And maaaan, I'm looking at Hougen in whole different light now and it seems like I'll end up liking him after all despite my guesses that I wouldn't. Sniper is cool always, so there's nothing to say about that, except that he is 2cool in that snippet. Being buried alive is terrifying, and yet he takes it like a champ. You are a better person than I am, dawg. |

Just to point out before I finish it tomorrow (er, when I wake up), end scene is totes not gay or anything, just Hougen and Sneeper realize they are 'kindred souls' and they are connected and special and Hougen is glad Sniper didn't die .  |

But, I'm liking both Sniper and Hougen even more. Finally it isn't the power of love and/or friendship to overcome all odds, but the power of hatred (fuck you Naruto). Although there's a lot of science BS going on. And Hougen DOES have some compassion, after all. This makes him even more sadistic.
