Random Translated Snippets (SPOILERS!)

I love those translated snippets of scenes from the gdw and gdwo manga, So many of my favorite scenes from the manga is her and im so thankful for that, Thanks for doing those translations, Will love to see more, Keep up the good work. ;-)

I organized the thread a bit to make it more manageable to navigate without wading through every single scene, and also added the flashback scene about Sakura and Lucy. I've always wanted to take a crack at that one, but since it was so long, (about half a chapter, with lots of dialogue - where I stopped is the end of the chappy) I kinda put it off. Think of it as an apology for not doing any of these, in a while.

On that note, I do apologize for any spelling errors, in it. These aren't edited by anyone, and Open Office randomly decided that its spellcheck doesn't want to work. At all - not just the auto version. I have no clue what it's doing...

So this is the real reason why Sakura is not in Ohu, and Smith is looking for her... It was a really interesting snippet to read.

Yeah, Gin's comment about giving birth to children that look like him... Weird. And I still don't understand why this journey is so important for Gin. I mean, you're leaving your pregnant wife and missing the birth of your children. Or are you using it just as an excuse to escape from your real duties as father? 

How come Tesshin is so mad at Smith? Is it only because this event or there's something else behind it? Because I didn't expect that from someone like him.

For the spelling: the developers of the old Open Office all created a new project called Libre Office (I think in 2010), when Open Office was purchased by Sun Microsystems. Now Libre Office is way ahead of OO, so you may want to use that, it should remove the bug.

Basically, if I recall, Tesshin left Ohu in general, because Sniper found him and told him Ohu murdered his father, Kurojaki, unfairly and in cold blood. So Tesshin went and joined the Kouga that survived the GNG battle, (who are obviously still pissed at Ohu, at this point) and he actually attacked Weed's group, knowing he was Gin's son. So he already thinks Ohu is likely lying scum right now, and that may have made his suspicions of Smith bigger. The Kouga were not automatically on Weed's side, in the manga.

I am likely forgetting something, as I have not read any of GDW in much detail, outside of doing these snippets, but I think that's right. I do agree the whole thing still seems weird, considering Tesshin's usual nature. And I agree with the all the Gin stuff. I did a bit of a double take, when I saw that line. I know the Ginga fathers have a consistent trope, but geez. I guess not even his wife is safe from his intense judging of her not-brindle genes. His just ditching her for a year while she's pregnant seems harsh to me, too, even if he does want to visit the families, personally.

Also, thanks for the tip about Libre Office! I'll have to look into it.

Oh poor Lucy... Her story indeed is quite sad, not only did she lose someone she clearly loved and Terry's death could've been prevented, but she has to deal with that sort of ridicule from the others. Gotta feel for Lucy just a bit there.
I love Gin's comment about children looking like him too, because it makes him totally sound like he'd just be “Oh man, I'm so painfully handsome there should be more manly dogs that look like me, just look at how handsome I am.” Man, Gin must've busted a nut when he first met Tokimune... Speaking of which, yes Kit, I was also amused by his constantly shocked expression. “Women talk to each other?? This is unheard of!”
And I'm still not over how Akame's substitute is totally irrelevant. Tokimune and Tony even introduce themselves, Tokimune has that amazing face work going for him and Tony makes some pointed comments, and meanwhile Akame's sub just be there like:

Not to mention that this here looks like Akasub is doing some mad push-ups. 

"O-one... T-two... F-five thousand..."
"Stop it, nobody is impressed."
"Shut up, Tony, I am relevant part of this story!"

Added a tiny scene. I think I may do more Bonn in the future, since the little guy grew on me in some strange way when I was flipping through GDWO.

I also have another GDW scene done, but I'm too lazy to typeset it, yet, as it is a bit long. Soon.

#11: Weed and Koyuki visiting Sakura's grave - GDW volume 40, pages 82-93

Just some more Weed x Koyuki fluff. Not much context for this one is needed, just as a note, Koyuki specifically means "mother-in-law" when she's talking to Sakura, but I just left it as "mother" due to people not really calling people that when talking to them, in English. Hope that wasn't too confusing!

#12: Conversation with Hougen's scouts - GDW volume 17, pages 186-196

I've seen a lot of people wanting to know the difference between this scene from the anime, so while I didn't want to spoil the obvious scene after it, I thought I'd do the conversation leading up to it. I think it goes without saying, but if you want to debate this scene in any real detail, please create a separate thread for it, rather than filling this one up with in-depth discussion. We all know this scene is a bit of a touchy subject in the fandom, and that is fine, but please keep in mind that this thread is intended for the translation snippets, and not big debates. Thoughts are fine, but please keep it brief and unheated, here.

After sending GB and Sasuke out on a scouting mission to find where Gin is being kept, Weed's group spots some strange dogs in the trees. After chasing them down and capturing them, they discover that they are lookouts working for Hougen and this conversation ensues...
